GENERAL LAUNCHES ATTACK AIMED AT JEHOL RECAPTURE. PONONOR OCCUPIED. SHOUT CAREER PROBABLE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright.) (.Received 10.00 a.m.) SHANGHAI, July 20.
The peace of North China is threati ened by what is regarded. as a futile attempt to recapture the lost territory of Jchol on the part of Feng Yuhfiang, who launched an extensive military campaign resulting in the capture of Dononor without effort. Nanking, however, has ordered Feng to cense provoking Manchukuo and Japanese troops, and thereby giving a new excuse to the Japanese to renew military activities leading to the loss of more territory. The Government is now regarding Feng as a rebel, since he refused to obey the central authorities.
•At the same time the official opinion is that it is only a matter of a. short time before his forces will bo eliminated. A Japanese and Manchukuo combined force is moving to recapture Dononor.
