CLYDE CONTRACTS
SHIPS AND MACHINERY. • AGGREGATING £4,500,000. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 9 a.m.) RUGBY, July 19. Captain Wallace, Civil Lord of the Admiralty, stated in the House of Commons today that contracts for ships and machinery placed recently with Clyde shipbuilding and engineering firms amounted to £4,500,000. The work is already in progress.
