DANCE OF MURDERERS
SCENE IN INDIAN GAOL. THIRTEEN TO PAY EXTREME PENALTY. (Received 10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, July 19. After murdering six of their fellow prisoners in Peshawar gaol, 18 tribesmen danced round their victims, shouting victory slogans. The sequel is that 13 have been sentenced to death and five to life transportation. Two factions of rival tribesmen were long terra prisoners, and the disturbance in the gaol resulted in a free fight, in which nearly s 2OO prisoners were involved.
