NORTHERN WAIROA HERDS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. (Special to "Northern Advocate.") DARGAVILLE, This Day. At the annual meeting of the Northern Wairoa Herd-testing Association, Messrs A. Thompson (Waihue), D. Marra (Awakiuo Point) and F, J. Johansson (Parare) were re-elected members of the committee. Mr Johanssn was re-elected chairman.

Seceral speakers expressed appreciation of the good worfc done by the association, whose charges per cow are the lowest in New Zealand. The association tested 7619 cows during the season, compared with 6320 the previous year.

The chairman, in answer to a question, said that the Government subsidy was being reduced each year, and would probably end in two years' time. If. the association tested 9000 cows it could carjy oh without any assistance from the Government.
