CHILLED BEEF METHODS

NEW ZEALAND EXPERIMENT. AUSTRALIA WATCHFUL. (Received 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, July 38. The Commonwealth Government is watching with keen interest the results of the shipments of New Zealand chilled beef to London by the Port Fairy. If the method adopted is suceessl'iil an impetus to the Australian investigations into chilled beef transport will be afforded. Mr A. .1. McLaehlan, Minister in charge of Scientific ami Industrial Research, remarked today that the Australian experiments were proceeding satisfactorily, but it was not yet possible to begin regular commercial shipments. Success would enhance the prospects of the speedy development of North Australia.
