In the past month three large ships loaded at Opna, bnt it was apparent that reserved space on subsequent vessels would be insutiident for the meat (mostly mutton) which was being frozen. To ease 11n* position the Cornwall called at Opna yesterday taking away 10,(100 freight carcases The next boat due is the Rotorua, which will load on June I. Dairv companies have only to make arrangement for transportation for the bobby calf industry to be resumed this season. It is almost certain that the works will remain open right throughout the year, a result not previously achieved since l operations were commenced in lOd.'l.
