COLDS CAUSED BY GERMS
How They Begin—And How to Cure Them
Colds .mit spread by germs —germs that float in the very air you breathe. These tiny germs, or microbes, enter the .system through the nose or mouth. They lodge in the numerous little cavities of the nose, throat anil lungs, where the warm, moist conditions provide iiu ideal breeding-ground. Once there, they multiply rapidly. These germs then inflame the mucous membranes lining the nose and throat, and cause those membranes to “respond” by flooding the breathing passages with mucus or phlegm.
The way to cure colds, then, is first to destroy the germs that cause the condition, and then get rid of the condition. There has recently been evolved a new scientific, treatment that works in this way. The method is to sprinkle a few drops of Karsote Inhalant on to a handkerchief and inhale the vapours that arise. Laboratory tests have proved that Karsote vapour will complete destroy the germs of colds, influenza and catarrh in less than lu minutes.
Although Karsote is such an effective germicide, it is perfectly safe in use, even bV children. Moreover, it is very pleasant to inhale. Each inward breath you take floods every crevice ot the bronchial tubes, right down to the bottom of the lungs, with an atmosphere in which germs cannot possibly live. At the same time, the penetrating vapour opens up stuffed nostrils and clears away that unpleasant mucus from the bade of the throat.
• Karsote is put up in handy little bottles with sprinkler top and screw cap. So it is just the kind of thing one can conveniently carry in a pocket or a handbag—ready for use anywhere, and at any time.
Most -chemists and stores now sell Karsote in two sizes—small I/O and large
