The Communist Party of Ireland was launched during a two-day congress, at which dames Larkin, who presided, declared that the formation of Hie party would give impetus to the toilers in Ireland to smash the Empire, Others declared (hat the party aims at an independent republic ruled by the Irish workers. The Government intends to introduce a bill to amend the constitution by reducing to two months the statutory period of .18 months which the Senate can delay legislation. This will enable 1 hi* passing of legislation abolishing the Senate.
