Following the upward movement of overseas wool prices, sharp advances characterised the opening of the winter series of wool sales in Melbourne today. The increase is estimated at from 13 per cent, to 20 per cent, for host descriptions, and 3 per cent, to 10 per cent, for other sorts. Competition was very strong.
