FIGURES FINALISED. SMALL ADJUSTMENTS. The official recount of votes in the Whangarei municipal election has been completed very expeditiously. As previously indicated, the differences between successful and unsuccessful candidates in all four issues was so clearcut that no alteration in personnel could take place. The only difference in position is that Mr N. James takes fifth place on the list of councillors, a position which he shared with Mr J. E. Holmes on election night, and tin latter occupies sixth position.

The additions of declaration votes and the official scrutiny have resulted in the following increases to individual
