AUCKLAND, Monday.
Yesterday morning the body of Mr Samson Rogers, aged 67, a single man, was found in a bach on Eangitoto Island.
The inquest was opened this morning by Mr W. R. McKean, S.M. Evidence of identification was given by a brother who said he last saw deceased alive at 8.30 a.m. last Friday at the home of his sister, Mrs Chisinau, 603, Alanukau Road, where he lived. He was then in his usual state of health, and, as far as witness know, had no worries. Yesterday, at 11.30 a.m., witness wont to Rangitoto, and there saw his brother dead, in bed. He was a retired railway official, and was in the habit of spending week-ends at his bach.
The coroner ordered a post-mortem' examination, and adjourned the proceedings since die. Death is believed to have been the result of natural causes.
