TWO YACHTS CAPSIZED,

IN DARKNESS LAST NIGHT. \ FERRA' BOATS TO 'RESCUE. (Special to “Northern Advocate "> AIJ CKLA ND, Thursday. Almost at the same time, during a fierce rain squall about (5.30 last night, lavo small yachts capsized, one off the Western Wharf and the other near De vonport. The lift Ramona, with three boys and a girl on board, capsized shortly after rounding North Head. The occupants (’lung to the capsized boat, and people on the Devonport Avharf heard their cries for help. The ferry steamer Peregrine Avent alongside and took off the occupants, while the scoav Awhiti took the yacht in tow, and it was beached at Cheltenham.

The 10ft centreboard boat AVill-o’-the-AVisp, with only one occupant, Avas the second boat to capsize. The boy in the craft held on for halt an hour before he Avas picked up off the Princes AA’harf by a ferry boat. No damage avus done to the yacht.
