SMALL FARMS
. SETTLERS SATISFIED. POSITION- AT DARGAVILLE. (Special to "Northern Advocate.”) DARGAVILLE, his Day. Having been placed under the small farm scheme some months ago, settler;in the Northern Wairoa district arc very satisfied conditions, and would not return to the' old order -of things in the city in any circumstances. On the Bassett estate, Tatarariki, all the 11 cottages are occupied, and holders are busy preparing the land for the next dairying season. Early next month the 21 cottages on Wilson’s estate will be ready for occupation, as they are nearly completed now. Most of the intended tenants, who have been on relief work, are engaged in fencing, ploughing, draining, and installing water supply systems in preparation for early occupation. Those with a knowledge of farming who have viewed the holdings are impressed with the land, and the success of the scheme as it is carried out in the district. Several other estates, it is understood, are on offer, some adjoining the present holdings.
