CRICKET
RODNEY v. AUCKLAND. NORTHERNERS DOMINANT. In view of the somewhat crushing defeat inflicted on Whangarei in the Dargaville Shield cricket match, it is reassuring to note that other sides of more renown wilt before the Rodney champions. A cricket match between a strong team of Auckland reps, and senior club players commenced at Matakana and concluded on Saturday. The home side, with one exception, was the same which played here. The details are as follow. —
