CRICKET

RODNEY v. AUCKLAND. NORTHERNERS DOMINANT. In view of the somewhat crushing defeat inflicted on Whangarei in the Dargaville Shield cricket match, it is reassuring to note that other sides of more renown wilt before the Rodney champions.
