NORTHLAND TOURNAMENT. GOOD PROGRESS MADE. R. W. SMITH ELIMINATED. Favoured by fine weather, the annual tournament of the Northland LaVn Tennis Association, which commenced on Good Friday, is well advanced, In all probability several of the championships will be decided this afternoon.

R. W. Smith, of Rodney, last year’s winner of the men’s single#, was eliminated by T. D. Wilson in the third round.
