CUBAN OUTBURST
RESORT TO BOMBING, ’b/. -i SUPPRESSION MEASURES. ; PATROLS USE MACHINE GUNS. (Received 9 a.in.) HAVANA, April 15. Troops were called out yesterday, to deal with an outburst of terrorism after 17 bomb explosions had killed one person and injured three to four. The explosions came on the heels of .several anonymous letters to police headquarters, warning the police that yesterday would be the start of a “Red week” in Havana. A score of youths have been arrested. Patrols armed with machine guns prevented further outbreaks yesterday. Today, however, further outrages occurred, and several people have been killed in two days of terrorism. The epidemic of bombing ended quickly after three Cuban youths had been killed by the police who wore rounding- up suspects. Anti-Govern-ment activities are being continued relentlessly, however.
