AUCKLAND, This Day

The London manager of the Now Zealand Fruit Board, Mr H. Turner who returned -by the Rnngitata, expressed the hope that British taiiff revision, resulting from the Ottawa Conference, would Help New Zealand growers next season. Conditions on the Continent and in Scandinavia wore making business most difficult. In consequence of different exchange rates, Australian growers enjoyed a premium of 15 -per cen f , which enabled them to underquote New Zealand and still realise a better pri-e. New Zealand still had pride of first place for quality, and under most advantageous market conditions coni manded 1/ to 1/C per cm-e more that) most other fruits.
