WORLD SITUATION.
DISCOURAGING OUTLOOK,
(Received 0 a.m.) LONDON, December 20
A special correspondent of tho “Daily Telegraph” states that those closest in touch with the'wheat trade see no prospect of a material rise in prices for some time. But if war debts were liquidated, there would be a revival. Exchange restrictions would' be modified and one of the greatestobstacles would disappear. Whereas France, Italy ami Germany imported 28,000,000 quarters in 1025, they will not import 7,000,000 in .1033. Britain’s overseas requirements however, have increased from 27,000,000 bushels to 32,'000,000 bushels since 1025.
