MANSLAUGHTER
boys convicted,
"CALLOUSLY SHOT."
(Received 2.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Ernest Jenkins, aged 10, and Bernard Boyd, aged 18, were convicted today of the manslaughter of Mr Joseph Sybley, a hotel manage)-, who was shot at AVhittlesea on October 18.
The boys were each sentenced to imprisonment for seven years. The .judge declared that the crime was ‘ ‘ startlingly callous.’ ’
