THE SOVIET SATISFIED
(Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, December 16.
The Riga correspondent of “The Times” says that Soviet newspapers are commenting on the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Soviet and China. They emphasise the importance of Chinese co-operation with the Soviet in the Far East, but “Pravada” also seizes the occasion to review Communist activity in China. The paper declares that the “Rod” detachments are progressing greatly in various parts, and that the Chinese Communist party is mobilising the masses and rallying the whole of China for the overthrow of the Kuomintang, and the establishment of a Soviet Government in China.
