Deceased had heen secretary of the Racing Chili since the death of Mr .T. INF. dohusloii, two years non, havin';' come from Auckland, where he was assistant secretary to the Auckland Racing Chili. While in Fa Imerfson .Xorth. deceased was very popular, and had heen connected with the Citizens’ Show Committee, the Rotary t'hih and the local branch of the lied Cross Sm-ielv. lie had been in ill-health for some time past.
