WORTHLESS CHEQUES

YOUNG MAN GAOLED. (Per Press Association.—Couyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A sentence of six months’ imprisonment was imposed on Cyril Millar, aged 2d, by Mr E. Page, 8.M., in the Magistrate’s Court .yesterday for fraudulently obtaining money by means of valueless cheques. The- cheques were stated to have been uttered by an acquaintance recently discharged from prison. The men hired a motor car for the purpose of leaving Wellington, and ran into a I pole at Porirua.
