INDOMITABLE SPIRIT
COMBATING DEPRESSION. PRINCE PRAISES BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received !) a.m.) RUGBY, December 13. The Prince of Wales, in a speech today, paid a tribute to the manner in which Britain was fighting the world depression. “The world realises, ’ ’ he said, “although wo arc suffering like other' countries during bad times we are not over-depressed by them. As has happened to ns in the past in the great struggles of our histor} 7- , the very magnitude of our difficulties has aroused a spirit of determination to overcome them.” The Prince referred to his recent visits to industrial areas, and said some wonderful work had been done and was being done in developing new means of employment. Evidence of British confidence would give confidence to other countries anil thus stimulate a general recovery.
