GOVERNAIENT LINES FTRAI. AUCKLAND, This Day. Bidding at the Auckland Stock Exchange call this morning was quiet, with few marked changes in quotations. In the banking section, Commercials were easier and sold 2d lower at 14/7. New Zcalands responded to the dividend announcement and changed hands 1/ higher at £2 7/, with buyers still in at that figure. Waihi shares are steady, with buyers at 17/11 and holders asking IS/l.
In Government slocks, 4’’s were firm and £97 7>/ was offered for the 193 S issue; n?.'s were barely steady. A fresh sale was made at £IOO o/, but subsequently inscribed stock was on offer at that figure, with buyers stopping at £99 I."/.
