THE SHOW CONCLUDES,
NOVELTY ITEMS,
The North Auckland Kennel Club’s show was brought to finality on Saturday evening. During the afternoon a novelty in the tail-waggers ’ class was introduced. AH varieties of dogs owned by children were in the ring, there being as many os Id at one time. A cocker spaniel was adjudged the longest-eared dog in the show. One small boy was dragged round tiro ring by an Alsatian, several sizes bigger than, himself.
The greatest attention was given to the wonderful work of an Alsatian owned and handled by Airs E. H. Afnrfnrt, of King Street, Devonport. This dog, Rex Intelligence, showed the ca'-c and attention which his owner has given to his training, and his love, tor her was indicated in all Iris actions. He played leap frog over men, found the lady’s glove which was hidden, and did dozens of other things at a word from his owner.
The judge, Mr P. Coster, of Auckland, stated that they wore all of excellent temperament. Airs P. W. Pinker ’s Wolf of Sandringham was an outstanding exhibit, said Air Coster, Ho considered it to bn one of the best bred dogs in Now Zealand. Cup, for best Alsatian, challenge points, and Wolf Valley -Cup, for Alsatian with best gait.—Airs F. W. Pinker’s Wolf of Sandringham. Best Alsatian puppy, and Grand Puppy Stakes.—Mr L. Lees’ Gerda von Wolfhaveu.
Second in Grand Puppy Stakes.— Mr E. Robson’s Princess Caro of Rossrnont.
Best opposite sex Alsatian in show —Miss E. G. Brooks’ Rexdale Mystic. Challenge Points. —.Airs E. W. Pinker’s Pinnacle of Wolf Valiev.
