Add water to make a soft dough. Grease a basin and coat with brown sughr. Roll out dough and line the basin, keeping enough for the lid. Put crumbs in the bottom, the lemon whole on top of that, and over all the treacle. Cover with remainder of the paste, tie over a greased paper; steam two hours.
