RECOMMENDED RECIPES.
Curried Eggs.—Fry a largo onion in butter, cover with milk, and thicken with flour, adding curry and salt to taste. Cut three hard-boiled eggs in halves, placing a half on rounds of buttered toast, pour over the egg the mixture, and servo hot.
Golden Bomb.—Boz self-raising flour, 4oz chopped dr shredded suet, pinch salt, one lemon, ,11b syrup or treacle, small teacupful browned crumbs, teaspoonful brown sugar. Mix flour, salt, and suet. Add water to make a soft dough. Grease a basin and coat with brown sughr. Roll out dough and line the basin, keeping enough for the lid. Put crumbs in the bottom, the lemon whole on top of that, and over all the treacle. Cover with remainder of the paste, tie over a greased paper; steam two hours.
