DAIRY PRODUCE
BUTTER IN POOR DEMAND.
CHEESE MARKET FIRM,
Latent advices from Tooley Street are somewhat conflicting, but it would appear that finest New Zealand is holding to a fair price as a result of short storks, while first grade is easier. Cheese, on the other hand, has a firm market. The weekly Press Association cable reads as follows:
Butter market slow. Danish, 110/ to 118/ per cwt. Now Zealand, choicest salted, very scarce, 100/; first grade, (•7/. Australian choicest, 00/ to 97/. Unsaltod, New Zealand, 100/ to 110/; Australian, 97/ to 100/. Cheese is firm. New Zealand white, 00/ per cwt; coloured- GO/.
