SPLENDID FILM

"DELICIOUS” AT EEGENT. "Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell.” Their names mean a great deal to pieturegoers these days, but one can see them time and time again, and always find something refreshing and delightful in their acting. "Delicious,” which opened a season at the Eegent Theatre last evening,, is just another of their splendid films. The story differs very little from the other films they have been starred in, and, as usual, it is the work of the two main stars that , hiakes the picture the enjoyable entertainment it is. Janet Gaynor acts wonderfully, her whimsical charm winning everyone when, as a little Scotch girl, she runs foul of the United States immigration officers. On the boat she meets a young millionaire —the happy, good-natured Charles Farrell —and they fall in love at sight. They have to go through much, however, before he joins her on the boat in which she is being deported from America. Charles Farrell is at his best, but his role does not call for the acting entailed in Janet Gaynor’s perfect representation of the Scotch girl. But that is not all. At the head of the supporting cast is EJ Bromlel, whoso clowning gives the picture much of its charm. Ho is .excellent as the young millionaireb valet. The supporting programme reaches its usual high entertainment standard, and includes the concluding Johnny Farrell golf short, one of the Magic Carnet Series, and two news reels.
