DRIFTED 200. MILES

LONG-LOST BOAT RECOVERED. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) SUVA, September 8. When the New Zealand yacht -Watorlily was lying at the island of Naimika-i-Lau more than two months ago, her lifeboat parted company in a gale and was given up as lost. Recently the yacht visited the island of Kaudavu, and just prior to sailing, the crew heard a rumour that a boat, whose description resembled theirs, had been found, after being washed over the reef in the bay of Ono adjoining. Investigation showed that it was really their long-lost lifeboat, and it was quite unharmed, with even the rowlocks and oars as left in the craft.

The boat had drifted nearly 200 miles from ifatouka to Ono.
