The Brisbane wool sales opened today. There was a.. medium to good selection, somewhat finer than last year. . Competition was spirited from the outset, Continental sections operating freely. Prices were 3 to 10 per cent higher than at the recent -Sydney sales and 30 per cent above those at the Brisbane sales in .Tune. Ordinary sorts, fleece and pieces, showed the greatest advance. In all 11,234 bales were sold at the auction.
