(Received 9 a.m.) RUGBY, August Im The 800th anniversary of the foundation of Fountain Abbey, near Ripon, Yorkshire, was celebrated yesterday, when a congregation of 0000 people, including the Duke and Duchess of York, attended a service of joint religious denominations in the Abbey. The Bishop of Ripon, Dr. E. A. Burroughs, said: “To the England of the 12th century —a. century of great abbey-builders—new inspiration and unity and a sense of freedom came on the wings of a widespread spiritual revival. So may it be in the 20th century.”
