BUSINESS ON . THE IMPROVE. OLD MINER’S STORY. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) DUNEDIN, This Day. The “ Evening Star’s” Cromwell correspondent telegraphs that one of the. most -certain proofs, that gold is being won from the Kawarau and Molynen.v Rivers is the generally improved tone of business in the central towns. Storekeepers notice an appreciable increase in their takings, and banks report, a big increase in the number of gold transactions. The fabulously rich nature of several small crevices that have during the past week or two been unearthed on the Kawarau has been outstanding, and stories of the different experiences which are coming to light every day give a ready explanation of the wonderful lure of the work. The most recent find was (10 ounces by two men. One spot, an old minor said, was absolutely studded with gold; The Kawarau dam gates will probably bo closed on Saturday.
