(Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. Noon Call. - A slightly better feeling in regard to buying offers was again noticeable at the noon call. Government loans were in steady demand, buyers predominating over sellers. Twelve different loans were asked for, but sellers only quoted for five of them. Bank of New Zealand shares were 3d firmer, being wanted at £2 5/6, and sellers quoted £2 G/6. Dominion Investment and Banking Association shaics sold at 15/3, after which sellers diopped out. New Zealand Insurance shares had sales at £1 15/, and could still be placed at 3d under that figure. Goldsboro-Morts buyers advanced to £1 1/6, whereupon the seller dropped to £1 2/. New Zealand and River Plato shares were in request at £l 1/, with sellers at £1.3/. Taupiri Coal shares firmed to buyers at 15/3, and Union -Steam shares were inquired for at 19/3, with sellers at £l. New Zealand Breweries again firmed in price, £1 3/9 being offered with no seller under £1 4/9. Buyers’ offers lor Colonial Sugar shares advanced 10/, the quotation being £36 10/ with no seller.
