BOXING

HUGHES’ GYMNASIUM CLUB. Members of Steve Hughes' Gymnasium Club who attended a club night staged by him a fortnight ago were rewarded to such an extent that applications for membership have far exceeded expectations and it is doubtful whether the accommodation at his gymnasium in Walton Street would be sufficient for patrons at a similar programme. Arrangements have been completed, however, to have the use of the Winter Show building, and on Friday evening, when the second of a series of club nights will he held, patrons are assured of first-class accommodation. Among the bouts arranged to take place are:—Monday Rika v. Jack Cossill, R. Thompson v. Steve Hughes, Cole v. Steers, Painter v. Nash, Howie v. Dudley, Hughes v. Yiseovitch, B. McConnell v. Mick Griffin, Bell v. KisscUj Rika v. Rika. 563
