N.S.W. APPEAL
PRIVY COUNCIL CASE. TO END ON TUESDAY. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, April 14. The New South Wales Government’s appeal to the Privy Council in regard to the Upper House Abolition Bill was resumed to-day. Counsel for appellants, Sir Richard Cripps, K.C., did not finish his address after being on his feet altogether nine hours. The case is expected to conclude on Tuesday. Sir Richard will finish tomorrow, Mr. Wilfred Greene, K.C., and possibly Mr. D. Maughan, K.C. (for the respondents) will speak on Saturday, and the British and Australian Attorney-General, Sir Thomas Inskip, and Mr. J. G. Latham, on Monday and Tuesday.
