GOOD TOILET SOAP.
Five> pound mutton fat, Hb caustic soda, one quart water, two tablespoonfuls powdered borax, 4oz glycerine, two tablespoonfuls ammonia, 4oz oil of lavender. Dissolve soda in cold water. Melt fat at as low a temperature as possible. Beat gradually into lye. Add oil, borax and ammonia in that order, beating well. Mould into any desired form. Fat must be clarified and sweet.
