SERIOUS MENACE
NEW GUARD BELLIGERENCE. CANNOT BE TOLERATED. (Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 5. The Federal Treasurer, Mr E. G. Theodore, in a statement today said the Commonwealth Government was convinced that the activities of the New Guard might develop into a serious menace, and the Government would not tolerate any attempt to usurp military authority by .any unofficial armed force on any, pretest.
