EXPORT CONTINUES,
(Received 11.30 a.m.) MOSCOW, November 4
“Wo intend carrying out the programme of wheat exports,” declared Dr. Pavloff, Director of the Soviet Grain Board, who denied that Russia had ceased exporting. He admitted heavy drought losses, but said these were offset by the increased acreage. “We collected sufficient grain to meet our original plans,” he said, “and are convinced that interested parties are circulating stories of the abandonment of exports.”
