EIGHT JAPANESE SAILORS. STEAMER ON THE' ROCKSi . . (Received 9 a.m.) HONG KONG,. November 4, The British aircraft-carrier Hermes answered an S.O.S. call from the Japanese steamer Ryu jin Maru, which was [ashore north of Foochow. The Hermes rushed to the scene and rescued eight of the crew of 27 men. The work was most hazardous, .owing .to rocks and crashing surf.
