COMMUNAL CONFLICT
GRAVE EVENTS IN KASHMIR
TWO THOUSAND ARRESTS. DESPATCH OF TROOPS. (Received 9 a.m.) CALCUTTA, November 4. In consequence of the grave communal situation at Kashmir, British troops are being sent into the State owing to the inability of the Kashmir troops to cope with the increasing trouble. The police have made 2000 arrests in two days. Trade between British India and Kashmir is at a standstill.
