’ (Received 9 a.m.) ATHENS, November 2. Mr C- A. Butler, who is endeavouring to break the record for a "flight to Australia from England, arrived at Athens yesterday. He had landed at Brindisi to refuel. The airman left this morning for
Aleppo. A later message says that Mr Butler reached Aleppo safely and departed for Basra. MISS SALAMAN’S FLIGHT. KHARTOUM LEFT BEHIND. (Received 9 a.m.) CAIRO, November 2. Miss Peggy iSalaman and Mr G. Store, who are on a flight from England to Cape Town, arrived at Cairo yesterday and continued their journey later. They reached Khartoum and left again on the next stage.
