KYLSANT SENTENCE
APPEAL HEARING. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, November 2. Intense interest is being taken in Lord Kylsant’s appeal against the sentence of one year’s imprisonment imposed upon him on .Inly 30. He w T as found guilty of issuing a prospectus intended to mislead investors. Lord Kylsant, who was allowed out on bail,, is in good health. He motored 200 miles with his wife from his Carmarthenshire home to surrender today. Sir W. A. Jowett and Sir John Simon will appear for the Crown and the defence respectively. The Court consisted of Justices Avory, Branson and Humphreys. Sir John Simon, representing Lord Klysant, agrued almost all day. He objected .to the form of the original indictment as unusual, and contended that every word in the prospectus was true and based on figures supplied by his accountant, Mr J. H. Morland, who had been acquitted of an attempt to defraud. The hearing was adjourned.
