It is officially reported in Sydney that the conference instructed the seaijien’s unions to order the men back to their ships. If the strikers refuse the shipowners will feel at liberty to call for volunteers. Calls will be made in the morning for most of the idle ships in port. There was no development in the strike, and nothing untoward happened in any port yesterday. All interest was centred on the deliberations of the compulsory conference.
