Miss Wilson has twice Avon the English .women’s championship. There was a real thrill in the afternoon’s round. Miss Wilson was always calm and collected. She led by only one hole in the morning round. In the afternoon, however, she played an inspiring game. No woman living, except Miss Joyce Wethercd, could have battled against her. Miss Wilson played 12 holes in one under fours. Miss Morgan did not win one hole. Mies Wilson showed uncanny mastery in her approaches, finishing near the pin from every distance. She only once took three putts. Miss Morgan, ncA*erthcless, fought bravely. She possessed such a perfect style that the critics agree that she must eventually become the champion.
