HIGH SPEED MOTORING
EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX. WON BY - ENGLISHMAN. (Received 12 noon.) PARIS, June 14. After a gruelling 24 hours, the European Grand Prix was . won by Sir Henry Birkin, driving an Alfa-Romeo. He averaged 89 miles per hour, beating Captain Woolf Barnato’s record, set up last year. Twenty-five competitors started, but the majority failed to finish.
