BRIDGES WASHED AWAY. RIVERS STILL RISING. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Serious flooding - has occurred in a number of places on the Murrumbidgoo River and Tumut River. The whole Tumut valley is under water. The police rescued several marooned families in boats. Extensive damage has been done to the crops. A large concrete bridge over Hillia’s Creek, on the Sydney-Melbourno Road, was carried away, and several other bridges have been washed away. The A 1 bury and Wagga Wagga districts fear serious floods. The rivers arc still rising.
