POSEIDON DISASTER
TAPPINGS BY DIVERS. NO RESPONSE ELICITED. (Received 9 a.m.) HONG-KONG, June 11. The naval authorities deny the truth of a report which says signals have been received from a man who is trapped in the sunken submarine,. Poseidon. They state that there has .the divers, and that dramatic resbeen no response to the tappings by cues are extremely unlikely. MANY CONDOLENCES. NAVAL MESSAGES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 11. An Admiralty communique issued this afternoon states that among the many telegrams of sympathy received in connection with the sinking of the submarine Poseidon, with the loss of IS lives, are messages on behalf of the navies of Prance, Greece, Japan, Yugoslavia, Spain, Sweden, and the United ■States.
