PERSONNEL PLEASES. (Special to “Northern Advocate.") AUCKLAND, This Day. At the luncheon meeting of the members of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday, Mr T. C. Schnackcnberg moved a resolution congratulating the Government upon the appointments it has made to the Railways Board of Control, and to assure the members of the board of the hearty good wishes and cordial support of the chamber. Air H, Turner said the choice of the Auckland representative, .Sir James Gunson, would certainly please tho majority of Auckland people. The president, Air A. AL Seaman, said he had already congratulated Sir James on his appointment to the board, but they realised that it was rather the country that was to bo. congratulated oh the fact that he had placed his capabilities at its disposal. The feeling generally w T as that tho Government had made a wise selection. “Personally, I think it is as good a board as they could have got together," said Mr Seaman.
