EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE
DETAILS NOT READY. (From Our Parliamentary Special.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Steps are being taken by the Government to ascertain the private, business, local body and State losses incurred as a result of the Hawke's Bay earthquake. The Prime Minister, the Et. Hon. G. W. Forbes, stated, in reply to a question in the House yesterday, that the work was proceeding, although detailed estimates were not yet available.
