MAN WANDERS IN SCRUB
SUPPOSED LONDON SOLICITOR.
(Eeeoivcd 0 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 8.
A visitor to Sydney was found wandcring in the scrub on the outskirts of the city at the week-end suffering from loss of memory. The case has baffled the police, who found in the man’s possession a card indicating that the owner is a member of a firm of London solicitors. It has been further ascertained that lie arrived from Wellington, New Zealand, by the Ulimaroa on March 24.
Jt is now believed that the afflicted man is a Mr Brassington, who is said to have been staying at the Grand Hotel, Napier, at the time of the earthquake. He cannot remember anything about himself or his friends. An endeavour is now being made to trace a fellow passenger by the Ulimaroa. The wanderer had money on his arrival at .Sydney, but now is penniless.
The name of Air A. Brassington appeared in the passenger list of the Ulimaroa when she left Wellington for Sydney on March 20.
